Wake to the pre-dawn chill
See the stars and crescent moon
Through the fog of your breath.
The sun will rise
Turning the sky bluebird blue
And warm these lanes
Between patches of worried snow.
Come evening look for high clouds
And a chance of flurries
To leave an angry inch of powder.
